Olive Wood Boards

Olive wood is one of the hardest woods and has natural antibacterial properties. Known for its beautiful grain patterns, it is tough and long lasting.

Large pieces of olive wood are hard to find. Since both olives and olive oil are prized commodities, olive trees are not harvested for lumber. The pieces available are generally from the pruning process of mature trees. Hence, all of chefdude olive wood boards are on the small side. That works out OK, however, since the wood is generally more expensive; so limiting the size keeps the prices reasonable.
