Composition 465: Spalted Maple, Cherry + Walnut Compact Prep Board

A small grab-and-go board with three woods and a compact handle.

I made this series of smaller boards for the jobs that don't require pulling out a full-size cutting board—chopping garlic or onions, quick kitchen prep, or packing a real wood board when you're traveling.

Board #465 combines Spalted Maple, Cherry and Walnut in a compact composition, with the natural markings in the Spalted Maple bringing an entirely different kind of detail to the straighter lines where the three woods meet.

A short, compact handle makes it easy to grab from the counter and gives the board another option when the cutting is done: use it for a small serving job.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.

A small tin of our Chefdude Board Butter is included with every board. Apply periodically to help condition and maintain the wood.
