Figured Maple takes the lead. Padauk interrupts it. Walnut draws the line.
Composition Board #433 may be smaller in size, but the wood gives it plenty to look at.
The foundation is beautifully figured Maple, with natural movement and character running through the board. A stripe of richly colored Padauk cuts across that lighter background, creating a strong interruption in both color and grain.
Alongside it, a very thin accent of Walnut adds one more detail—a dark, precise line that separates and defines without competing with the Maple.
A hole cut into one corner finishes the design and adds another visual break to the board's compact shape.
At 12" x 8.25", #433 is an easy size to reach for when you don't need a full-size board. Use it for smaller prep jobs, slicing fruit, serving cheese and appetizers, or building a small charcuterie spread.

What Makes This Board Different
The Maple didn't need much help.
Its figuring already creates movement across the surface, so this composition isn't about adding more and more.
Instead, the Padauk provides one strong interruption against the lighter Maple. Then the very thin line of Walnut adds definition without demanding attention of its own.
Three woods, doing three different jobs in the same composition.
That's what makes #433 work: the accents don't overwhelm the most interesting piece of wood. They give you another reason to notice it.
Made to be used. Made to be seen. Made with the wood as the starting point.
Care
Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing. Periodic conditioning with a food-safe board oil will help maintain the wood.
