Quarter Sawn White Oak, Walnut, Purpleheart, and narrow strips of Osage Orange come together in a composition built around contrast.

This composition serving board brings together four distinct woods, each contributing its own natural color and grain to the design.

Quarter Sawn White Oak provides a lighter foundation, set against the deeper brown of Walnut and the naturally distinctive color of Purpleheart. Narrow strips of Osage Orange add another layer of contrast, creating smaller lines of color within the larger composition.

Frank extended the design into a long handle, giving the board a more elongated silhouette while keeping the serving area compact enough for cheese, charcuterie, bread, fruit, or appetizers.

At 17.5" x 7.5" overall, this is a smaller composition board, but the combination of four woods gives it plenty to look at.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing. Periodic conditioning with a food-safe board oil will help maintain the wood.
