English Walnut + Olive Ash Apple Board with Maple Weave

English Walnut and Olive Ash give this apple its contrast before the weave even begins.

Our apple boards have an unusually long history. The shape is inspired by an apple cutting board we received as a wedding present 43 years ago—a board we actually used for years.

I've since reimagined that shape through different woods and compositions. Here, English Walnut meets Olive Ash, with a Maple weave running through the design.

The contrasting species make the apple interesting from a distance; up close, the grain in each piece gives you more to look at.

What Makes This Board Different

The contrast isn't coming from the weave alone. English Walnut and Olive Ash already bring distinctly different color and grain to the composition, while the lighter Maple weave ties another element through both.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.

A small tin of our Chefdude Board Butter is included with every board. Apply periodically to help condition and maintain the wood.
