English Walnut + Oregon Black Walnut Apple Board with Osage Orange Weave

Two Walnuts, interrupted by one unmistakable line of Osage Orange.

The shape has history for us. We received an apple-shaped cutting board as a wedding present 43 years ago, used it for years, and I've since reimagined that original apple in different woods and compositions.

This one brings together English Walnut and Oregon Black Walnut, with an Osage Orange weave providing a bright contrast between the darker woods.

At .75 inch thick, it's a slightly slimmer version of our apple board, equally at home being used for prep or brought to the table for serving.

What Makes This Board Different

Putting two kinds of Walnut together makes the differences between them part of the design. Then the Osage Orange weave cuts across all that brown with a completely different color.

It's an old shape interpreted through three very different woods.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.

A small tin of our Chefdude Board Butter is included with every board. Apply periodically to help condition and maintain the wood.
