Oregon Black Walnut Board with Sloped Shoulder

The stripes aren't added. That's the Walnut doing all the work.

This thick piece of Oregon Black Walnut has bands of shifting color running through it that give the board an almost striped appearance. Rather than competing with that natural variation, I kept the shape strong and relatively simple, finishing one end with a sloped shoulder and circular hole.

At 1.5 inches thick and 7 pounds, this is a substantial kitchen board with enough presence to live on the counter rather than disappear into a cabinet.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.
