Siberian Elm Live Edge

Some pieces of wood already have a story to tell.

This Siberian Elm serving board celebrates the natural character of the tree, with live edges and bark left intact to preserve its organic shape and texture. Wrought iron handles add a touch of rustic elegance, making it equally at home carrying appetizers to the table or serving as a centerpiece for gathering.

The open grain of Siberian Elm called for a different finishing approach than most of my boards. Instead of my standard finish, this piece was treated with TotalBoat Wood Honey, which enhances the wood's natural beauty while providing lasting protection.

Whether it's piled high with charcuterie, fresh bread, seasonal fruit, or shared appetizers, this board was built to be used and enjoyed.

After 40 years in professional kitchens, I've come to believe that some of life's best moments happen around a table. This board was made for those moments.
