Tigerwood Apple Board with Maple Weave

Dense, dramatic Tigerwood gives our familiar apple a very different personality.

Our apple shape began with a cutting board we received as a wedding present 43 years ago. I've taken that familiar shape and reimagined it in different woods ever since.

For this version, Tigerwood takes center stage. It's a particularly dense wood with strong natural movement, so I kept the composition focused and added a lighter Maple weave for contrast.

The finished board is a full inch thick, giving this apple a substantial feel for cutting, prep or serving.

What Makes This Board Different

Tigerwood doesn't need much help getting noticed. Its strong grain provides the movement across the apple, while the Maple weave creates a lighter interruption without competing with it.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.

A small tin of our Chefdude Board Butter is included with every board. Apply periodically to help condition and maintain the wood.
