Tigerwood Apple Board with Osage Orange Weave

Tigerwood brings the movement. Osage Orange brings the interruption.

Forty-three years ago, we received an apple-shaped cutting board as a wedding present. That old board became the starting point for an apple shape I've returned to and reimagined in different woods.

This version starts with dense, boldly grained Tigerwood and adds an Osage Orange weave through it. Both woods have plenty of visual presence, making this one of the more assertive combinations in this group of apples.

What Makes This Board Different

This isn't a quiet wood combination. The natural movement of the Tigerwood meets the strong color of Osage Orange, with the weave giving the eye a distinct line to follow through the board.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing.

A small tin of our Chefdude Board Butter is included with every board. Apply periodically to help condition and maintain the wood.
