Walnut + Cherry Mini Board with Osage Orange Edge Accent

Walnut and Cherry do most of the talking. Then there’s that little line of Osage Orange.

Frank built this narrow Chefdude Mini around the warmer contrast of Walnut and Cherry, then added just a sliver of Osage Orange along the edge.

It isn’t a large amount of wood, and that’s the point. The thin flash of Osage Orange gives the edge an unexpected bit of color without competing with the Walnut and Cherry.

At 13.25 inches long and just 4.75 inches wide, this is an easy board to reach for when a full-size cutting board is more than you need—or when you want a small wooden serving piece for cheese, fruit, bread or appetizers.

Care

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Dry promptly and allow the board to dry completely before storing. Periodic conditioning with a food-safe board oil will help maintain the wood.
